Healing was never meant to be done alone on a hope & a wish. That’s why you’re here.

Hopeful Healing Therapy provides individual therapy for adults in Kansas City, MO, and telehealth across Missouri.

If you are someone who feels like they are feeling more anxious, maybe depressed, maybe just life in general feels overwhelming - you are in exactly the right place.

Does this sound familiar?

You're not bad at talking. You're bad at this specific conversation: the one with the person who matters most, where it comes out as an accusation, or a shrug, or three days of silence neither of you names. Maybe anxiety runs the whole thing: you rehearse the talk for a week and then can't have it. Maybe depression has flattened you to the point where saying "I'm not okay" feels like more than you have.

That's the work here. Not vague self-improvement, the specific, learnable skill of feeling something and being able to say it to someone before it calcifies. We connect with those we love through the expression of what we are feeling. If you can’t name those feelings, how are you able to express them?

Meet Nikki Hope Fryer, LCSW

Nikki Hope Fryer

Nikki Hope Fryer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kansas City, MO, providing individual therapy in person and via telehealth across Missouri. She works with adults on anxiety, depression, trauma, and the heaviness of the things we haven't said out loud.

Hi, I’m glad you’re here:

I often tell clients we each have a giant garbage can inside our chest. It's where we shove the things we can't talk about, the things we aren't ready to deal with, and even things we don't remember anymore. The can fills up. You start overthinking. You stop sleeping. You're cranky for reasons that don't quite match the situation.

Sometimes, saying some of those things out loud to someone with no personal stake in your life takes the load off. Normalizing what you're feeling is more empowering than people expect. I believe everyone deserves someone to talk to, and I bring both professional training and a range of life experience to walking beside you in that work.
